Out The Attic Productions is a platform for the stories of women and those unrepresented throughout history...
I founded Out The Attic Productions on International Women's Day, March 2019 with the intention of creating space for women led narratives and opportunities for these creatives in the industry.
We are;
-
A company with the ambition to tell stories through theatre.
-
With a focus on the stories of women and those unrepresented throughout history.
-
Intent on passing the stories of families down generations.
The company's Debut production ...THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID was a new piece of verbatim theatre devised based on the real life experiences of the cast and creative team. The piece was staged at the Hope St Theatre in Liverpool in December 2019 and recieved a 4* review from North West End.
The show was then commisioned by The Unity Theatre Liverpool and received Arts Council funding for a mini tour of the North West in September 2021, marking Out The Attic's professional debut. The production won the Manchester Fringe award for Best Ensemble and we have hopes to tour the production further in 2022.
